Debbie Simler-Goff, the founder of Pursuing Wholeness, grew up in a home lacking a strong spiritual foundation, a sense of stability, and a feeling of acceptance. Debbie knows what it is to feel devalued, disregarded, and rejected, and from this, she felt compelled to start Pursuing Wholeness. Despite the hardships, Debbie thanks God for these experiences because they helped shape her into the who she is today.
At 20 years old, Debbie married Paul Goff, a widower with four small children. When they married in 1985, the children—Paul, Jeremy, Stephanie, and Joshua—were 9, 7, 5, and 18 months old. Instantly, she became a mother and embraced the blessings and challenges that came with it.
Debbie brings over 50 years of life experience to her clients and is passionate about sharing the wisdom she has gained along the way. Her journey has been richly blessed with a loving family, including four amazing grown children, eleven delightful grandchildren, and two precious great-grandchildren. She and her husband, Paul, spent most of their adult lives in the Chicago area, serving in various ministry capacities, including Bible Quizzing, home missions and family pastoring. About three years ago, they felt called to relocate to the tiny town of Enid, Mississippi, where her husband now serves as Associate Pastor in neighboring Batesville, MS, under Pastor Troy Smith.
Debbie's faith in Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of her life and coaching practice. As a Spirit-filled believer who trusts that miracles, signs, and wonders happen today just as they did in the book of Acts, she strives to live out her faith in every aspect of her life and encourages others to do the same. She believes that through the love and guidance of Jesus, everyone can find purpose, peace, and fulfillment.

With spiritual discernment, prayerful advice, a smile and a hug, Sister Goff offers encouragement for young saints and seasoned alike, to pursue their calling of God. She is on the sidelines, cheering each sister on, as she runs her race. The steps cannot be taken for you, but her words have a way of propelling you forward, in your pursuit of God.
– Pam Williamson, UPCI Minister's Wife & Word Alive Revival Center Secretary
Words could never express or say how valuable Sister Goff is to so many women today. Her burden and compassion is evidence that God has His hand of anointing upon her. I know for sure that her ministry has encouraged many ladies in my church. Her words of great wisdom gave them hope once again. I believe in Sister Goff and support her as she follows God’s leading in this ministry “Pursuing Wholeness." May God’s many blessings be upon her, and I pray His protection around this ministry.
– Pam Dobbs, Word Alive Revival Center Bishop's Wife
Sister Goff has the ability to combine her educational expertise with personal experience to provide counsel. Truly it is beyond counseling. It is more helping people turn their trauma into a steppingstone. Because she uses the gifts of the Spirit wisely and with discernment, she is able to flow and pivot in the Holy Ghost according to what God is leading her to do. I would recommend her to help anyone knowing that she would not make them feel less than for having trials in their life.
